MangoFinch ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our real-time multilingual transcription platform at mangofinch.com ("the Service").

MangoFinch is operated by a sole proprietor based in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive and store:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Profile image

We do not access your Google password, contacts, calendar, or any other Google account data beyond what is listed above.

2.2 Meeting Data

  • Audio and video streams: Processed in real-time during active meetings. Audio is sent to a third-party speech-to-text provider for transcription. Video is routed through a third-party conferencing provider. Neither audio nor video is permanently stored unless you are on the Pro plan and have an active recording.
  • Transcripts: Generated in real-time during meetings. On the Free tier, transcripts exist only for the duration of the active session. On the Pro tier, transcripts are persisted for later access.
  • Translations: Generated in real-time via a third-party translation service. Translation data is not stored after the session ends.
  • AI meeting summaries: Available on the Pro tier. Meeting content is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate summaries, which are stored alongside your transcript.

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other financial information on our servers. Stripe may collect and store payment data in accordance with their privacy policy.

2.4 Usage Data

We may collect non-personally-identifiable information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, session duration, and general usage patterns to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate your identity via Google OAuth
  • Process real-time transcription and translation
  • Generate AI meeting summaries (Pro tier)
  • Process payments through Stripe
  • Communicate with you about your account or the Service
  • Improve and optimize the Service
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services strictly as needed to operate the Service:

  • Google OAuth: Authentication (name, email, profile image)
  • Speech-to-text provider: Audio data for real-time transcription
  • Translation provider: Text data for real-time translation
  • Video infrastructure provider: Audio and video streams for conferencing
  • Stripe: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions
  • AI provider: Meeting transcript data for summary generation

Each third-party service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

5. Data Retention

  • Free tier: Transcripts and meeting data are retained only for the duration of the active session and are discarded when the meeting ends.
  • Pro tier: Transcripts, recordings, and AI summaries are persisted and available in your account until you delete them or close your account.
  • Account data: Your name, email, and profile image are retained as long as your account is active.

6. Data Sharing and Sales

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 4, solely to deliver the functionality of the Service.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Secure OAuth authentication (no passwords stored)
  • Encrypted data storage for persisted content
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Opt out: Cancel your Pro subscription at any time

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our third-party service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

11. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Usage analytics, if implemented, are anonymized and used solely to improve the Service.
